Exercise doesn't have to have rules

Go from struggling to make time for exercise to having a flexible routine and feeling confident to move your body safely at home or in the gym.

Is this for you?

If you are…

  • Busy and want to add exercise into your life without rigid rules

  • Always dropping movement to the bottom of the to-do list

  • Wanting to feel confident moving whether it’s at home or in the gym

  • Dealing with a tricky relationship with exercise and your body and wanting to heal that

How it works…

Online PT is just as bespoke as 1:1 PT. It’s a more flexible approach to PT

while still being tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Undo exercise rules that don’t serve you

This isn’t your average Online PT. You get access to me via 24/7 messaging support plus 3 weekly text check-ins to work on your movement mindset, and so I can answer your pressing questions about form, exercise alternatives, progressions and more.

Feel confident exercising in a way that feels good at the gym or at home

With your customised programme with warm-up, cool-down and exercise demo videos, you will feel confident knowing that you are exercising safely in a way that feels good and moving

towards your goals - whether you prefer to work out at home or in the gym.

Build an exercise routine that sticks

You will finally stop exercising because you think you “should” and create a routine that you actually enjoy. I will support you to find the space and to move in a way that feels good, and fits into your busy life with bespoke Online PT.

Hi, I’m Hannah!

I’m a certified Personal Trainer, Online Coach and meditation and breathwork instructor. I work with people to help them exercise in a way that actually feels good and fits into their busy life - no more all-or-nothing!

I take a weight-neutral approach when training my clients, meaning that the focus is not on losses, but rather on what you can gain from adding exercise into your life.

Rather than being driven by aesthetic goals or weight-loss fads, I promote a method of training that helps clients thrive in life and for life in the long term. I do this by working with each and every client to find a routine with exercise that is sustainable and manageable, even when life gets busy!

I never shout, I never shame, I never judge and I will never ask you to do burpees (unless you want to!)

I do not weigh or measure my clients, I do not offer quick fixes. Instead, I offer my clients the opportunity to enjoy training as part of a balanced and sustainable lifestyle.

Melissa has been consistently exercising for 18 months and has built up from 1 workout a week to 2 which is now as much a habit as doing the weekly shop! She’s finally achieved the consistency she’s always craved.

When Melissa came to me, she had a negative relationship with exercise due to a lifetime of diet culture influences and was struggling with poor body image which led to a lack of exercise.

She wanted to exercise more and feel strong and confident in what her body could do rather than pinning her self-worth on her appearance and was ready for support.

With Online Personal Training, I worked with Melissa to build a framework of exercise that was flexible so she could fit it in around shift working and make exercise a positive addition to her life.

Together, we:

  • Built up an exercise habit so movement became a normal part of her life

  • Found ways to adapt her workouts so she could fit them into her week rather than slipping back into an all-or-nothing approach

  • Focused on performance-based goals to take the emphasis away from a number on the scales

FAQ

How does online PT work?

In our coffee chat, you'll be able to choose how many workouts (between 1-4 workouts each week) your package will include. You'll do these same workouts for 4 weeks so you can see your progress. Some trainers work in 6 or 8 week blocks, but I think that's just too long - you'll get bored!

So in week 1, you're working out how each of the exercises feels and maybe the workout takes a little longer, weeks 2 and 3 you're feeling more comfortable and by week 4 you can see your progress with those exercises and you're ready for change, but you're not yet bored!

Of course, the exercises can change or be varied so they work best for you and you get the most out of each and every workout. You'll receive your plans in a spreadsheet doc as well as videos for each exercise plus a warm-up and cool-down video. You can leave me notes on the doc so I know how you've found each workout, some clients prefer just to tick them off and message me, while others write me essays in their doc, I don't mind either way, it's your workout, and you're in charge!

You'll get a check-in from me on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but you can message me whenever you need if you have a question during your workout or between sessions. I'll respond to you as soon as I can.

How many workouts are best?

There is no right or wrong number of workouts to do each week. Think about the number of workouts you'd like to do in a dream week where everything lines up perfectly, then think about how many you'd like to do in a realistic week.

I'd set your goal somewhere in between those two numbers. Remember a workout counts no matter how long or short it is, a lot of my clients choose 1 or 2 longer workouts and then add 1 or 2 shorter workouts so there's something that will fit in each gap they have in the week. The right number of workouts is the number you can sustain in a way that fits into your life rather than adding extra stress.

How is it different to what I've done before? What if I miss a session?

I'm all about flexibility, so I will never tell you off for missing a session.

Instead, we'll work out ways to make movement fit into your week. Maybe that's splitting the workout up into smaller chunks e.g. doing half of it one day and the other half the next day if you can't fit the full workout in in one go.

All I ask is that you tell me if you're struggling and we'll work out the best way for you to keep consistent with movement. Consistency doesn't always have to look the same! I always say flexibility = longevity.

Kate has transformed her relationship with exercise and now finds the space and time to move each week in a way that feels good, she’s built a flexible routine that has allowed her to stay consistent even in the busiest of weeks.

When Kate came to me, she didn’t believe she was worth spending the time on and therefore struggled to make exercise a priority around a busy work and home life.

With Online PT, I worked with Kate to build a workout routine that felt manageable with different styles of movement and workout structures to keep her interested and stop exercise becoming a tool of punishment.

Together, we:

  • Began changing her mindset around exercise from all or nothing to something > nothing

  • Explored different types of movement and different lengths of workout to find the way of moving that Kate actually enjoyed rather than moving because she felt like she should

  • Revolutionised Kate's relationship with her body in tandem with her relationship with exercise allowing them both to find a settled place that was maintainable
